How to repair and save broken piece of granite counter top with Instantbond Adhesive

This is the best Granite Repair Ever and it is a tragic mistake in the granite industry, however after refusing to just throw away a finished product I tried putting one back together with a certain Instantbond which is Super glue adhesive with epoxy we use and in a very specific way and when I was all done polishing it out and re sealing the stone it was almost as if it had never broke at all! So now instead of throwing away a broken piece of granite we can fix them!!!

  1. I purchased instant bond to fix a broken piece of travertine about 1 inch thick. The first piece I glued held okay. The second piece I had to pull it apart to reposition it about a second after I put it together. Once I did that the bond would not hold. I scraped the glue off tried it again and once again it would not hold. Then I tried another epoxy. Still would not hold. If you can get your item positioned correctly immediately, this is a good glue. If not forget it!

  2. Instantbond Granitec

Maybe so, but you shouldn’t have to reposition, If you feel that you might have to reposition, than use the adhesive only then when you have the parts perfectly aligned spray on the activator to instantly harden, simple! GREAT PRODUCT use it on just about anything!

  3. Don’t waste your time with these guys. I ordered it back in December and never received it, although my credit card was charged. After my email and three phone calls to the company weren’t returned, I finally got ahold of someone. The excuse.. “oh, sorry but we haven’t had any stock for a while”. PISS POOR BUSINESS!! What a huge mistake..

  4. I was hoping to see a demo of Instant Bond’s strength, but it wasn’t there. Put weight on the glued section or lift it. Leaves me skeptical.

  5. Instantbond Granitec

When applied properly, I know of no stronger adhesive period

  6. The main ingredient is cryanoacrylate. It’s the same stuff in super glue. Look for a company called Cyberbond. There is different glues for different applications to ensure strength.

  7. How is this different from the CA glue you can get from any tool and material supplier like GranQuartz or Stone Boss? You can even get it from woodworking supply houses. This is no big deal.

  8. How do you repair a through-crack by a cooktop cut-out? Do you inject the glue into the crack? But then how do you get the activator in there as well?

  9. careful not to turn it green with that spray man lol… that repair is basuda like the mehecanos say

  10. This video is a joke. There is nothing special about the glue. all it is is cyanoacrylate (super glue) any one in the industry will tell you that, the activator that he is using (by they way, WAY too much) will turn light colors green. He also fails to show what the break looks like after it is cleaned off. all repairs look great untill you scrape the glue down. I cvan go on about all the other mistakes, but i wont. just know this is not a video ANY person should follow.
